Terrence Dixon pres. Population One (Pangaea remix)
Time to delve to the OUT-ER limits
Terrence Dixon is the perfect realisation of the Detroit sound. He's been carving out wholesome techno for over two decades and he's up there with the likes of Jeff Mills and Robert Hood as some of the most prominent names of the Motor City.
He's released albums via Tresor, Yore and Surface and under his Population One alias he's released even more fire, with LPs landing on Rush Hour and Utensil.
At the start of the year he revisited his Population One moniker to release the 'Temporary Insanity' EP via Simone Gatto's OUT-ER imprint and to mark the end of the summer we're being treated to an incredibly eclectic remix EP.
Voiski and Cosmin TRG join the label boss with wild new edits but it's UK stalwart Pangaea who's really risen to the challenge. He's about to release his debut album via home base Hessle Audio but before that it's time to concentrate on this new remix.
His re-imagining of 'Multiple Choice' is a frenetic and scattered new take on the steely original. It's more bass-heavy and employs glitchy tones and a mutant groove to drive the cut forward. Before you get stuck into Pangaea's new album, this should keep you firmly occupied.
The 'Temporary Insanity Remixes' EP will be released on September 27
