CASIO teases SX-C1 handheld sampler at NAMM 2026
With tech enthusiasts gathering at California's NAMM 2026 last month, CASIO showcased its latest prototype — a handheld, 16-voice sampler, currently nicknamed the SX-C1.
According to Music Tech, the sampler feaures USB-C input with 64gb of internal storage, with presets of 10 banks and 16 samples. The USB-C input also charges the sampler, so it can be used on-the-go – though there is also an option for AAA battery power.

RANE unveils SYSTEM ONE, “the world’s first all-in-one standalone motorized DJ system’
RANE has released a new product called the SYSTEM ONE, which the music tech company is claiming as an “historic achievement in the DJ industry”.
The standalone motorised DJ system aims to fuse the tactile nature of turntables and the capabilities of digital DJing with laptop-free functionality, with the embedded Engine DJ operating system.
“With RANE SYSTEM ONE, DJs no longer have to choose between the trusted feel of motorized platters and the freedom that a standalone DJ unit provides,” said Morgan Donoghue, VP Marketing, DJ Brands at inMusic. “SYSTEM ONE embodies RANE’s legacy of innovation, delivering the first device of its kind and setting a new benchmark for professional DJ performances.”

Reloop releases “pocket-sized powerhouse” portable mixer PTB-2
The Reloop PTB-2 is a new portable 2+1-channel DJ mixer with a USB-C audio interface with djay Pro DVS support, as well as switchable phono/line/USB and AUX/Bluetooth inputs.
It’s designed to support yoo to “mix and scratch anywhere”, with a crossfader, high-pass and low-pass filters, and small enough to fit inside in a snug travel case.

Behringer unveils new spin on classic Oberheim DMX with Behringer BMX
Behringer has revealed its new spin on the classic, ‘80s-released Oberheim DMX, the Behringer BMX, almost three years since first teasing a prototype. The drum machine is set to be shipped in May.
The BMX comes complete with an “authentic 8/12-bit sampling sound engine, 8 drum voices, a 64-step sequencer, and 117 default drum sounds”, and also features 24 velocity-sensitive pads – made for both “seasoned pros” and those new to using drum machines alike.

ATGR unveils new wireless MIDI controller, ATGR DJ Touch 1
And The Groove Remains (ATGR) has unveiled a new wireless MIDI controller, the ATGR DJ Touch 1, designed for “controlling DJ software” and extending the lifespan of existing controllers.
Nicknamed the DJT1, the MIDI controller features full-colour touchscreen and is available with modules such as stem control, crossfader module, and hotcue control, and is set to be released as a DIY project that encourages DJs to build their own unit using the MIDI controller – an “affordable” product made accessible.
