Tchami makes his Essential Mix debut this weekend

A milestone for the future house guru

The future house connoisseur and clerical collar donning Parisian known as Tchami will be making his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix debut this Saturday.

The disco- and soul-influenced producer made his way into club nights and festival stages three years ago, quickly rising through the ranks of electronic music stardom when he introduced the future house genre to large scale crowds.

After putting out an infectiously funky remix of Oliver $'s 'Moving On', a hit EP titled 'Afterlife' and the body-moving 'Confessions' mix series, Tchami has become a household name in dance music. Having earned consistent headliner status, the French artist now makes his mark in the BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame.

His latest was an original titled 'SIAW' and collaboration with Malaa. The new material gears itself closer to resonating bass and club hits, but one can assume his Essential Mix will be scattered with full, soul-driven vocals and future house vibes.

The BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix with Tchami will air on October 15 at 4:00AM GMT.
