Sydney's mysterious BRUX explores dark side with ritualistic 'Paper Boy'

The new project delivers music with "no inhibition and no rules"

Mysterious Sydney producer BRUX has dropped second single 'Paper Boy,' luring listeners down a twisted sonic tunnel of beats, rhythms and incantations.

One of the city's key electronic players, who has collaborated with Flight Facilities, The Aston Shuffle and more, told Mixmag the project "started as a vehicle for me to explore the darker side of my musical interests with no inhibition and no rules."

"The debut single 'I'm Back' was a fresh direction for me, doing away with any pop influences and trying to use my voice in a completely different way. With 'Paper Boy', I kept this darkness in my production, but experimented again differently with vocal phrasing."

BRUX's latest is out September 7 on Dim Mak, ahead of participating in Red Bull Music Academy Berlin from September 8. Check it out below.
