Surusinghe launches Drifting party series and platform

The debut event will be held in collaboration with Tropical Waste on November 30

Surusinghe has announced the launch of a new party series and music blog called Drifting, co-founded with music manager Cali with the visual identity made by designer Shezaana Sadikeen.

Both elements of Drifting will shine a light on underground music culture, showcasing their favourite emerging sounds and producers, with the aim of building a supportive and attentive community around new music.

“The music scene is in a weird place at the moment. Promoters are struggling, producers are struggling and, let’s be frank, people are becoming lazy as fuck when it comes to digging for new music,” says the Naarm/Melbourne-born, London-based artist. “We hope with Drifting that we’ll be able to create a small community that cares about music culture and keeping our scene alive.”
