Studio 54's Nicky Siano announces set at XOYO with full gospel choir
The disco originator will play soul, disco and gospel classics with the Hallelujah Choir
Nicky Siano, one of legendary New York venue Studio 54's residents, is set to deliver a set of classic disco tracks accompanied by the Hallelujah Choir at XOYO on July 6.
The influential artist inspired the careers of artists like Frankie Knuckles, Arthur Russell, Larry Levan and Grace Jones.
He was also a resident at New York’s The Gallery and has graced the dancefloors of clubs like The Loft and Paradise Garage.
“I have personally selected some of the greatest soulful dance songs, concentrating on the Gospel classics that became Disco hits, before people felt so restricted by the category. I picked the songs that have boiled my blood while dancing on the most iconic dance floors ever,” says Siano.
