Stray

He’s back with another muscle-flexing release

Stray makes beats that'll send your head into a spin, but he's not just one for frenetic frenzies.

Tunes like 'Prof Popper' and 'Chatterbox' on Exit Records do the latter, but there are ones like 'Eazy Boy' and 'Matchsticks' that, although being rowdy, are smothered with a glistening layer of sheen. Then there's the woozy 'Since You've Been Gone' mixtape he released last year. Listen to his Guide mix for a proper Jonathan Fogel education.

He also makes bangers and cruising gems as one third of drum 'n' bass group Ivy Lab with Halogenix and Sabre, releasing on Critical Recordings and Metalheadz (Hydro collab 'Make It Clear') and throwing their 20/20 parties with guests like dBridge, Om Unit and Alix Perez.

To complete three releases on Exit in as many years, he's soon releasing the 'Paradise' EP. Rounding off the six-tracker is 'Branflakes', a gully, wrenching synth-smeared cut delivered with ice cold precision. Some of the tastiest cereal we've had, for sure.

Exit releases the 'Paradise' EP on June 8. Pre-order the digital copy here or a vinyl here
