Stormzy honoured Grenfell Tower victims at his Wireless performance this weekend

A memorable headline performance from the 'Gang Signs and Prayer' star

During his headline set at Wireless Festival on July 7, Stormzy once again proved he is not afraid to air his views on the Grenfell tragedy and Theresa May’s government.

In the performance he repeated the lyrics from this year's Brit award performance that questioned “Theresa May where’s the money for Grenfell? / What you thought we just forgot about Grenfell?” while an image of the prime minister as Batman’s The Joker was displayed behind him, NME reports.

Stormzy has actively supported the community following last June’s fire, attending the anniversary vigil last month and supporting a petition to diversify the public enquiry panel investigating the tragedy.

His festival performance also featured appearances from Krept and Konan, a 40-piece orchestra and a chant of ‘Three Lions’ following England’s victory over Sweden during the quarter-final match on Saturday afternoon.

Last week, Stormzy announced his debut book and publishing imprint, #Merky Books.
