Stormzy could win a BAFTA for appearing in a reality TV show

He's got our vote...

UK grime artist Stormzy has been nominated for a TV BAFTA following his appearance on 2017’s reality TV show Love Island.

In the category of ‘Virgin TV’s Must-See Moment’ Stormzy is up against moments from TV giants such as Game of Thrones and Blue Planet, as well Arianna Grande’s performance of ‘One Last Time’ at the One Love event in Manchester following the terrorist attack two weeks prior.

Stormzy’s appearance came after two of the show’s contestants, Chris and Kem, performed their own rap. “You lot just gotta go out there and kill it” he tells the guys before their talent show performance.

Also in the publically decided category is Viserion’s death in Game of Thrones as well as the reveal of Jodie Whittaker as the thirteenth doctor, the first female to hold the role of Doctor Who.

The ceremony takes place on Sunday, March 13 in London. To vote, visit here

In other Stormzy related news, he recently made headlines after he called out the Prime Minister Theresa May during a politically-charged freestyle at the Brit Awards earlier this year.
