Sri Lanka's Luna Terrace celebrates 10 years with NYE Tropical Wax takeover
The iconic venue lines up some special guests including Kareem Ali, Rafiki, and Zokhuma
Sri Lanka’s legendary Luna Terrace venue is celebrating 10 years on New Year’s Eve with a special takeover from Tropical Wax.
Luna Terrace is currently set to host New York jazz house maestro Kareem Ali, who will be joined by Bristol dub don Versa, Armenia’s Daao, and India-hailing artists Paloma, Zokhuma, and Rafiki.
The Tropical Wax takeover takes place from 8:PM on New Year’s Eve to 12:PM on New Year’s Day, featuring more than 20 DJs and musicians across three stages.

The Sunrise Jam stage will see live improvisation from local legend Shivy and the UK's Emanuel J Burton, who’s previously collaborated with the likes of Little Simz, SAULT, Ghetts, and FKJ.
The open-air venue, housed around a crescent-shaped infinity pool overlooking Dewata Bay, was first opened in 2013 by founders Emanuel Siddhartha and Leandro Filippin, two childhood friends reunited in Sri Lanka after studying abroad.
Luna Terrace is situated on the grounds of the historic Closenburg Hotel, Galle, with views of the Rumassala Mountain, which is said to grow magical herbs brought from the Himalayas by the Monkey God Hanuman.

Tropical Wax is a local collective based in Sri Lanka celebrating vinyl culture, underground music, art, and surfing. The collective are set showcase some of the best vinyl performances from artists across India and beyond, ensuring the “highest fidelity” in sound.
