Spotify playlist: 50 underrated and overlooked house classics
Tracks by Kenny Dope, Dennis Ferrer, Joss Moog and more
Mixmag has added another 10 old-school gems to our Overlooked Classics playlist on Spotify featuring a collection of house anthems from noteworthy veterans.
Back in 1991 Big Audio Dynamite, the project from Mick Jones, who is the ex-guitarist and vocalist of The Clash, released his hit single titled 'The Globe'. On that single, the legendary dance music innovator Danny Rampling remixed the track into a dancefloor friendly jam. Many might not be aware of this version, but it's well worth revisiting as it can easily work a crowd into a frenzy today.
Also included in the fresh update are tracks by Kenny Dope, Dennis Ferrer, Joss Moog and Mark Farina, who remixes the Phil Weeks and Diz track 'Who's Gonna Be The One?' into a groove-heavy house classic.
Follow the playlist on Spotify to stay connected and be sure to check back for weekly updates occurring every Thursday.
