SouqSounds launch charity compilation aiding Turkey-Syria Earthquake relief
‘Disruption, a tool for kindness’ features tracks from DJ Double Oh!, Ikävä Pii, Kaval and more
Leeds-based collective SouqSounds have released a new compilation to raise funds to help Earthquake relief efforts in Turkey, Syria and Kurdistan.
Released on Friday March 3, ‘Disruption, a tool for kindness’ will raise funds for Palestine Action and the earthquake appeal in Turkey, Syria and Kurdistan.

The six-track compilation features contributions from Kaval, DJ Double Oh!, Ikävä Pii, GoodMostlyBad and Loris, and features the Arabic word "زعاج" on the release's artwork — which translates as 'Disruption'.
"Disruption is the approach that, above all, heralds change," SouqSounds have said on the release. "The need for change is as imperative as ever, so we are called to disrupt: an expression that intervenes, a disturbance that demands attention, a rallying cry that cuts through the overbearing, disempowering white noise of oppression."

'Disruption' is the latest charity release from SouqSounds, a collective who work to promote collective action as a tool of change within music.
On Friday, SouqSounds hosted a fundraiser for Palestine Action at Leeds venue Wharf Chambers, which featured a b2b with MUSYS and blue.dream.
