Snapped: Disclosure's Wild Life Festival in NYC

Last weekend, Disclosure brought a one-day extension of their UK Wild Life Festival to Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, NYC. The award-winning Wild Life is known for its diverse line ups which range from established to emerging acts across all genres and brought the same stylings across multiple US cities on tour.

In NYC, the brothers shared the stage with R&B singer and musician, Anderson .Paak and his band the Free Nationals, hip-hop duo Mobb Deep, Dusky and Justin Jay.

On a gorgeous mid-June day, thousands spilled into the tennis club grounds of Forest Hills in the suburb of Queens. The venue has made commendable measures to reestablish itself as a focal point for iconic music programing that boasts impeccable sound quality where Justin Jay and Dusky opened the afternoon with sets that put the vibes in place. The DJ sets were followed by a short, but nostalgic performance by Mobb Deep.

Anderson .Paak took the stage for an energetic and soulful sunset jam out with his band the Free Nationals. Following a strong opening with 'Glowed Up' off Kaytranada's '99.9%' album, .Paak demonstrated the edgy, sultry vocals which have garnered him recent attention in the music sphere. He performed a variety of tracks from his studio albums, 'Venice' and 'Malibu' before ending his set playing along on the drums to ‘Am I Wrong’ and a cover of David Bowie’s 'Let’s Dance'.

Disclosure's closing set was a powerful and well-balanced mélange which showcased their dance-pop hits like ‘Omen’ and 'White Noise’ as well as pure house tracks reminiscent of their new EP 'Moog For Love'. Before leaving the stage, the brothers brought out dynamic vocalist, Brendan Reilly, who blew the crowd away with his range and octaves for their collaboration 'Moving Mountains'.
