Snapped: Crew Love's Summer Love, NYC

Independence Day spent with good company

On July 3, New Yorkers got a kick start to the Independence Day celebrations thanks to Crew Love's Summer Love Festival, a one-day showcase of the collective's major talents like Dimitri from Paris, Wolf + Lamb, Soul Clap and No Regular Play.

In partnership with MATTE Projects, Summer Love brought the city out to play at La Marina, a gorgeous waterfront venue in Washington Heights that set the perfect tone and backdrop for a relaxing escape away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

With a name like Summer Love, it was guaranteed to be a space made up of cheerful vibes and stellar dance moves. Classic disco poured out from Dimitri from Paris ahead of Midnight Magic who provided on the live tip with a four-piece band and singer that brought the grooves to the open-air venue.

After just recently releasing his album 'Half Naked', Nick Monaco introduced his live show with David Marston to the anticipating Summer Love crowd. It was soulful, soothing and all around fabulous. Monaco didn't disappoint.

As the day blended into the night, Summer Love's prime location against the city skyline and next to the water created quite the sunset backdrop. Later, Soul Clap went back-to-back with Wolf + Lamb for what ended up as a memorable two hour closing set.

See what you missed at Summer Love. It was one for the books.
