Skrillex reworks Pendulum's 'The Island Pt. I (Dawn)' anthem

In honor of the incoming remix album from drum 'n' bass legends Pendulum, bass maverick Skrillex has stepped up to the plate on remix duties for the group's massive, seminal track 'The Island Pt. I (Dawn)'.

The 2010 track finds a new breath under the OWSLA boss' touch, swaying in between a eased, reggae rhythm and a punchy, horn-forward break down.

It's no surprise that the two titanous names have come together for this rare remix partnership - Skrillex has considered Pendulum an influential act of his since the very beginning of his career. "I bought a Pendulum vinyl when I was 16 and was on tour with my band From First To Last," Skrillex said in a press release. "It made me fall in love with drum and bass, and has been an inspiration to this day. It was an honor remixing 'Island.'"

Pendulum's upcoming 'The Reworks' album is slated for a June 29 release.
