Skrillex, Alesso and Pete Tong head to China for IMS Asia-Pacific

A must-attend music industry discussion

Despite electronic music's deep rooted history elsewhere in the world, Asia has remained a burgeoning new territory for many international artists and industry heads alike.

IMS has caught the attention of the global industry with the announcement of its first wave of speakers for its IMS Asia-Pacific event happening in late September in Shanghai. Skrillex, Alesso and Pete Tong are three mega figures that represent the international artists of the speaker roster and are followed by Asian pop star Jolin Tsai as well as Chace, a 17-year old Chinese wunderkind producer that is often compared to Martin Garrix and who has already accomplished major milestones early on in his career.

Skrillex brings along his entire team, including his manager, agent and general manager of OWSLA. IMS will also see speakers from ATM Artists, Sony, Universal Music, WME and fellow media outlets Billboard and Pulse Radio take the stage.

International Music Summit first introduced IMS Asia-Pacific in 2014 as an effort to explore the distant region and bring artists, managers, agents, promoters and other established figures side-by-side with their counterparts and peers in Asia. Now, IMS Asia-Pacific heads to Shanghai on September 29 and 30 and for the first time, sees the Asian offset of the Ibiza music conference expand to two days.
