Shlømo (Inigo Kennedy Remix)
Techno, techno, techno
Whether it's their club nights, label or resident DJs, Concrete in Paris has a lot going for it. We've been super impressed by the curation of parties there and the music they push is some of the best in the world.
We've already brought forward a few premieres that have been affiliated with the brand and both have lit up dancefloors nicely. In January we put the spotlight on residents Behzad & Amarou who remixed Caiazzo and in March it was the turn of H330 who released an incredible EP via the label.
Now we focus on another resident and Shlømo is a techno producer who's doing wonders for the genre. He's recently released an EP via steely institution Delsin and has already dropped records on Bright Sounds and Taapion.
His will arrive on Arts Collective and 'The Rapture' EP is a devilishly rugged collection of tracks. It's fast-paced, no-nonsense techno, primed for those who don't mind their faces being melted when they listen.
There are two fantastic remixes as well, one from label boss Emmanuel of 'Burned Hand' and the other from fellow techno explorer Inigo Kennedy of the title track. Trust us when we say that Kennedy's remix is really special.
It hammers hard from the get go and introduces mechanical stabs alongside celestial melodies and rolling kicks to the point of mass euphoria. We premiere a lot of techno but this has to be one of our favourite tracks this year. Listen below.
