Shipsomnia is looking for new DJs through Open Decks

Show what you've got on the European sea voyage

Europe's first ever music and arts festival on sea, Shipsomnia, is hoping to discover new DJs on next year's trip.

Through its Open Decks sessions, the festival is giving those onboard the opportunity to show off what they've got. Spots are limited, but people looking to get involved just need to send in some photos and a mixtape.

This is just one of many activities on offer during this year's chapter, Tale of the Kraken, alongside the aquatic-themed Shipsomnia Ball, yoga, dodgeball and Q&A sessions.

No line-up for next year's trip to Barcelona, Sète and Ibiza has been announced yet, but this year saw the likes of Pete Tong, Zeds Dead, Armand Van Helden and more play as the ship headed to Singapore.

Jay Slangen, Shipsomnia's co-founder and creative director, says: "This year sailing out of Europe in June, we'll have lots more options for DJs and other artists to choose from which is exciting. There are so many legendary DJs that we'd love to see play on board. We've got a few favorites in mind, but can't say yet.

“If you like to discover new music and DJs, or maybe you don't even know the DJ names but love a great party with good music and unforgettable experience, then this is the cruise for you."
