Shiftee might be a two-time World DMC winner, but he's not just blessed on a pair of turntables. He's pretty decent in the studio too, as it goes.
Last year, the New Yorker treated us to a free download of his VIP mix of The Jazzman's 'Arkane Soul. Fidgety and frantic, the scratches and scribbles highlighted his career as a turntablist and, boy, does it bang.
Before that, he hooked up with Rx for the reckless 'Killa' and quaking 'Ice Is Back' on Hot Mom USA. Now he's delivering 'Dope Girls' with TT The Artist, featuring an all-female remix package, with UNiiQU3, FOXTROTT, Ducky, Kozee, Gun$ Garcia and London producer Flava D. The latter's no stranger to a banger herself, whether it be a grime, garage or bassline tune, either producing solo or as t q d (with Royal-T and DJ Q) on Butterz.
As if 'Dope Girls' didn't have enough attitude already, Flava's touch puts it in real danger of detention. Warning: this one's got a smacking bassline running through it and it's a ruthless bumper.
