SHEE gears up to release debut EP 'Rosebud'

The new record features collaborations with legendary producers Karma Kid and A-Trak

SHEE is gearing up to release his debut EP, 'Rosebud', which is set to land via Southern Fried Records on Friday, May 15.

The Irish DJ and producer debuted several tracks from the new project during his appearance at Southern Fried Records' takeover of the Mixmag Lab London last month, with tastemakers including BBC Radio 1's Sarah Story and Arielle Free giving 'Rosebud' early support.

The four-tracker features collaborations with legendary UK producer Karma Kid and Canadian dance music legend A-Trak, and has been created with "high-energy dancefloor moments" in mind.

The EP's second track, 'The Groove', was produced alongside A-Track, and utilises a sample of the 1995 track 'Just Another Groove' by Mighty Dub Katz, aka GMoney and Fatboy Slim.

"I can’t explain how proud I am to have a collab with one of my heroes," SHEE explained in an Instagram post in March. "When A-Trak first said he liked my tunes and wanted to play them in his sets that already blew my mind! But having a track together now… it’s like Cristiano Ronaldo inviting you to take free kicks together."

"The sample comes from Mighty Dub Katz (aka Fatboy Slim). I met the man himself last year and he gave me his blessing to flip 'Just Another Groove'," he continued.
