SHALT (Moro remix)

More clank 'n crunch courtesy of Astral Plane Recordings

In the New Year, Astral Plane Recordings dropped the 'Acheron' EP by SHALT. It opened the account of the label (which runs alongside a brilliant website and mix series) and was swiftly followed by records from Nunu, Chants and Exit Sense. Each producer charts the darker edges of club music and although its only seven months since the imprint's first release, APR has set out its experimental intentions decisively.

Now 'Acheron' gets a re-up thanks to a remix package bearing contributions from M.E.S.H., Ziúr, Kid Simpl and Moro. As you'd expect, these reworks plunge the originals into even deeper, unchartered territory.

We've got the first play of Moro's interpretation and it's as explosive as the Argentinian's previous work for NON Worldwide. Hit play and you'll be surrounded by clank 'n crunch that's undercut with a heavy dose of melancholy. You're sure to find beauty in the hailstorm.

The remix package lands on August 25 via APR while a deluxe version of 'Acheron' on cassette is now available to pre-order
