Seth Troxler and Visionquest cancel their annual Old Miami event in Detroit
'Need I Say More' has come to close
In a Instagram post today, Seth Troxler and Visionquest announced that their Need I Say More event - which has been held at the legendary Detroit venue Old Miami for the past 12 years - is no more.
The reason behind the cancellation of the wildly successful party remains unclear. In Troxler's post, he chalked it up to “reasons beyond the control of ourselves and the venue”.
Having thrown the annual event every Memorial Day since 2006, Seth Troxler and Ryan Crosson's VisionQuest crew had nailed down a stellar 7:00AM party that became the major highlight for many techno wanderers coming for Movement Detroit. With a queue winding down for blocks beyond the eye could see, most waited hours to enter the no smoke-and-mirrors backyard event fitted with elite sound, world-class DJs, bright vibrations with nothing else needed - it was simply put, pure Detroit essence and joy.
