"On this release we deeper into our signature sound, taking elements of traditional Iranian music into various styles of electronic music. 'Do' EP’s A1 is our nod to Coil's 'Further Back and Faster', which is one of our earliest inspirations when we were coming up with the idea of Flower Storm. We love how brave and experimental it is as a song.
"We have also decided to release a very limited dubplate of three unreleased versions of songs featured on 'Yek' and 'Do' EP. More news on that soon!"
Flower Storm released their debut EP, 'Yek', in May this year. The multi-disciplinary project stemmed from the duo's desire fir club culture to coexist with the roots of their motherland and nationalities, with their music diving into the history of their ancestors whilst nodding to underground electronic soundscapes.
Throughout their work, the pair mix traditional instruments such as the Daf, Tonbak and Santoor with sampled vocals and dialogues from films alongside electronic music from across the genre spectrum.
