Sabo releases new EP 'Vibe Quest Chapter One'

DJ Sabo has just released his 'Vibe Quest Chapter One' EP via his SolSelectas imprint, and in true Sabo style it channels those deep, meditative desert vibes that he has become known for.

The title track 'Vibe Quest' is a languid, head-back-and-"ohm" set opener, and even features Sabo's mother Carolyn Sabatini giving it some on the vibraphone. 'Singing Game' steps up the beat, shuffling through some tribal housey rhythms and layering it with some lush Côte d'Ivoire chanting. Also on the EP are some tight remixes with Acid Pauli's reworking 'Singing Game' and moombahton-electronic crossover artists Nadastrom delivering a dark, dance-floor poised version of 'Vibe Quest'.

Being a staple on the local alt-festival circuit, Sabo's tunes and live sets have had a major influence on the emerging SoCal house sound, and we're really happy to have him and rising local house producer Lonely Boy coming by the Lab LA this Friday.
