Roland has announced an "ultra-compact" version of the TR-808

A Boutique version of the SH-101 is also being released

Roland's Boutique range is being added to with the TR-08 and SH-01A.

Each of the instruments are "ultra-compact", more affordable versions of the TR-808 drum machine and SH-101 mono synths respectively.

On the page for the TR-08, the Japanese company states the product "retains the sound, character, and user interface of the original TR-808."

Modern specifications include a sequencer with 16 sub-steps per step, an LED display and 10 outputs via USB audio.

Roland describes the SH-01A as "a meticulous reproduction of the iconic Roland SH-101, one of the most popular classic synthesizers of all time."

All the sounds of the SH-101 are available via Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology, it has 64 writeable preset patches, CV/Gate output for controlling modular or vintage gear and an arpeggiator with three playback modes.
