Fernandez was an influential promoter in the NYC clubbing arena
Club promoter and staple of New York nightlife, Rob Fernandez, has passed away, according to numerous sources on social media.
Verboten was the first to announce his passing via Twitter early this morning.
Fernandez had been involved in the New York clubbing scene as a promoter for over twenty years, throwing parties all over the city.
He'd worked at Pacha NYC for the best part of a decade, helping cement its status as a venue in his role as Director of Promotions and Bookings. He was also responsible for the forward-thinking Dance.Here.Now parties at Cielo, which he organised alongside Benny Soto, as well as RPM Presents, a collaborative venture with Pacha NYC boss Eddie Dean.
This morning, DJs such as Mat Zo, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler and Adventure Club took to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to express their condolences.
It's clear that Fernandez was a loved individual who contributed immeasurably to dance music in NYC.
The cause of his death is unknown at the time of writing.
