Riva Starr (Joseph Capriati remix)

Two Italian titans combine to produce floor-primed fire

Riva Starr has shown himself to be a diversely talented artist across his rich career.

He’s equally comfortable collaborating with disparate producers ranging from Fatboy Slim to Roots Manuva, and can hit clubs hard with quickfire party sets or hark back to his origins playing in Naples nightspots and spin ten hour long marathons.

His debut release arrived on Dirtybird in 2007, and he’s grown from strength to strength since, founding the Snatch! Records imprint in 2010 which has released prolifically, locking in records from the likes of Butch and DJ Sneak.

His next outing ‘Dippin’ Side’ is coming out through Hot Creations on April 8, arriving backed with remixes from Joseph Capriati and Owls & Toucans.

Capriati is one of the biggest techno DJs in the world right now, and he’s earned his position through a string of outstanding releases on Drumcode and big, bold DJ sets. No one has lit up the Lab LDN like Capriati did in leading a sit-down back in October 2015.

‘Dippin’ Side (Joseph Capriati remix)’ maintains the high standard we’ve come to expect of the Italian, who turns in a reworked version of the track that's marked by its thumping percussion and woozy vocal sample. Listen below.
