Richie Hawtin shares details about his new audio visual show CLOSE

A brand new show with music and technology at the forefront

Movement Detroit was the first to unveil that Richie Hawtin had a new announcement unfurling for the production of his upcoming string of shows. Now, the techno maestro has unveiled the details behind CLOSE - Spontaneity & Synchronicity.

Explained as a concept that "explores the relationship between human creativity and innovative technologies that able artists to express themselves", a mantra that rings true to Hawtin's consistent commitment to creating in between the realms of music and technology, most recently with his PLAYDifferently Model 1 mixer.

The description of CLOSE suggests that Hawtin will perform as a series of cameras generate real-time abstractions on a screen during the show that'll illuminate his live show in a whole new way.

CLOSE will debut at Coachella in April, and later be taken to Movement Detroit, Vivid LIVE in Sydney, Primavera Sound in Portugal, Creamfields, Pukkelpop, Melt and more.

The announcement comes paired with a video teaser, giving fans an idea of the type of visual projects that CLOSE might reciprocate during his performance.
