"This is art" is how Goldie described the output of Narratives Music, the drum 'n' bass label ran by Blocks & Escher.
When Critical Music boss Kasra backs him up by saying it's the "most exciting new label" in the genre, that's surely enough to merit a cheeky grin from the label bosses and the artists who've released on it.
Blocks & Escher (the latter by himself on one), Overlook and unidentified producer Rhyming In Fives are those who've contributed to the nine releases so far, with RIF manning the tenth, the 'Light Leaks' EP.
Ahead of that, he's given us a free download of a non-EP track, 'Vignette'. Inducing thoughts of the Drive soundtrack, through sheen-licked synths and crashing drums, this can't really be classed as d'n'b. Either way, it's a beautiful track and a perfect starter for the main course on July 24.
