Quell (Palace remix)
Chunky house on W&O Street Tracks
Greek producer Quell is next in line on Waze & Odyssey's label.
Based in Berlin, he's one for the bold side of house, releasing a load of bumpy, hammering and chunk-laden cuts on Ibadan, 20:20 Vision and Saints & Sonnets in the last few years.
The 'Go Away, Humans! EP', his debut on W&O Street Tracks, is much of the same, inviting Hot Haus Records and Unknown To The Unknown producer Palace, also one for livewire bangers, on board with a remix.
He takes on 'Rugburn' and, boy, it's powerful. Cut up vocals shine bright and there's one chunky bassline making sure it gets full attention on the dancefloor. You won't forget this one any time soon.
