Prince's lawyer says the singer did not have a drug problem

L. Londell McMillan disputes reports

After reports of Prince struggling with drug addiction, the late artist's lawyer has disputed these suggestions.

The singer passed away last Thursday and TMZ later reported that he had been treated for an overdose of the painkiller Perocet while travelling on a plane a few days before.

However, L. Londell McMillan has dismissed this, saying he was doing "perfect" when he spoke to him on the phone the Sunday prior to this death. McMillan went onto dispute reports of Prince having a drug problem.

He told Associated Press: "People use medication. The question is, are you on meds in a dangerous way? Everybody who knows Prince knows he wasn't walking around drugged up.

"That's foolish. No one ever saw Prince and said 'he looks high.' It wasn't what he was about."

McMillan had worked with Prince for around 25 years.
