Prince's 'For You' to be reissued on vinyl
The Purple Rain legend's 1978 debut receives a revival
Enigmatic icon Prince will be re-releasing his first album, 'For You' on vinyl this April.
The 1978 work included nine original tracks, featured the classic 'Soft & Wet' and preceded his breakthrough platinum, self-named album by two years. Prince was signed to Warner Bros. at the age of 19 and has since released 37 albums with the label. The company alludes that the newly issued 'For You' will be the commencement of a full discography re-distribution.
Since first hitting the scene as a teenager, Prince has become one of the most prolific and defining artists in the music industry. Marked as a pivotal character in the development of rock and funk, revisiting his full collection of works marks another significant advancement in the exponential regrowth of vinyl culture.
Prince's remastered 'For You' releases on April 26.
