Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding will be released on vinyl

Make room for the crowning glory of your record collection

It’s set to be one of the hottest releases to grace your local record store this year. That’s right, the upcoming nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be dropping on vinyl courtesy of record label Decca.

The official audio will be available to stream within hours of the ceremony. If that’s not exciting enough, you’ll then be able to purchase the recording of the wedding of two complete strangers on vinyl on 25 May so you can listen to those marriage vows over and over again.

Harry and Meghan’s wedding isn’t the first royal occasion to be given the vinyl treatment. The Queen’s coronation has been commemorated on wax, as well as the weddings of Charles and Diana and Will and Kate.

The ceremony will feature performances from cellist Sheku Kanneh Mason, soprano Elin Manahan Thomas, the Choir of St George's Chapel and gospel group the Kingdom Choir. Yet to be confirmed is Reprezent Radio’s Jevanni Letford, who slipped the royal couple a business card earlier this year in the hopes scoring a DJ gig at the wedding.

Here’s hoping for a special edition in time for next year’s Record Store Day.
