Premiere: Ulterior Motive's 'The Real' is a demonic drum 'n' bass beast

New music incoming on Shogun Audio

It's been fairly quiet on the Ulterior Motive production front since their debut album in 2014, but that just gives an excuse to revisit 'The Fourth Wall' and that's no chore.

The duo served up a potent piece of rave nostalgia in the form of 'Tape Pack', a tune that dominated drum 'n' bass raves for months, and 'Sideways' is a hard but suave example of their ability to knock up funk-dripping tracks for the dance.

2015's 'You're Next'/'Music City' has been their only solo output since the Metalheadz LP, but this month they release 'The Real' EP, their first solo work for Shogun Audio.

Verse from Pendulum vocals the the title track, chipping in devilishly on top of a growling bassline and swiftly-cocked synth shots. It's a real demonic beast and you can listen to it below.

'The Real' EP is released on January 27 via Shogun Audio. Pre-order it here
