Premiere: Ulterior Motive's 'Step Change' is a destructive Metalheadz weapon

The duo are back on 'headz with a vengeance

Ulterior Motive are well in with the Metalheadz family, which is no surprise as their heavy, hazardous sound falls perfectly in line with Goldie's label's ideals.

The pair debuted on 'headz back in 2013, knocking out the bleep-ridden 'Lost Contact' and combining Peta Oneir's luscious vocals with ferocious growls on 'Forgiven'. After that came 'The Fourth Wall' album, featuring high-flying d'n'b rave anthem 'Tape Pack'.

Fans were left without anything new for a while, but January saw them return with scratchy number 'The Real' on Shogun Audio. Ahead of them playing The Lab LDN next week as part of a Metalheadz special with Goldie, we've got the premiere of new track 'Step Change'.

Staunch Metalheadz followers are bound to enjoy this one, clattering drums coming from all angles and searing mechanics cutting through with terrifying force.
