Premiere: Throwing Snow's frazzling 'Prism' will warm you up this winter

Taken from his second album 'Embers'

At the beginning of December, Throwing Snow travelled to Mixmag LDN HQ to play in The Lab. Bringing his dog Indy with him earned him brownie points before playing a single tune, but he capitalised on that with a set spanning the mesmeric and intense.

Leon Vynehall's 'Step Or Stone' around the 19-minute mark was a particularly special moment and then he brought in DJ Koze's remix of 'Bad Kingdom' by Moderat. In such an intimate environment, it was proper hairs-standing-on-the-back-necks kind of stuff.

He's been a regular on fabric's in-house label Houndstooth since 2014, releasing his debut album 'Mosaic' and the recent eight-track 'Axioms'. Featuring tunes loaded with fizzing synths and giddy melodies, it's a dizzying collection of tracks and takes you on a trip similar to his set in The Lab.

'Embers', his second album, is set to arrive this month and we've got the premiere of 'Prism'. It's yet another Throwing Snow track laced with frazzling synths, both fidgety and playful, and listening to it will warm you up in the last few months of winter.

'Embers' is released on January 20 via Houndstooth
