Premiere: Robert Hood brings techno home with his slamming Landside remix

The Detroit hero strikes again

When we had Robert Hood on the cover last year alongside his daughter for his Floorplan project, it was a true celebration of the Detroit legend and everything he's achieved across his long-standing career.

When it comes to techno, he's one of the very best, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Jeff Mills, Carl Craig and Kevin Saunderson as gatekeepers of the genre.

His music, whether in the form of his melodic, gospel-inspired Floorplan output or as himself via M-Plant, has always sounded fresh and unique, while always bearing his quintessential sound.

He's made an appearance on the new Landside remix EP where he joins Bambounou, Etapp Kyle and Edanticonf for edits of 'Signs of Change' and 'Desert Lake'. His re-imagining of 'Signs of Change' is a classic slice of Hood magic and you can listen to it first here.

This one goes out to all the Hood fans, both old and new. Listen below.
