Premiere: LSB ramps up the cyber funk on Foreign Concept's new EP

FC's 'Skit City' EP is out next month on Critical Music

Foreign Concept has made some A-star drum 'n' bass in his time, juggling driving, screw-face productions and 'you-are-giving-me-the-feels' type cruisers.

He counts Ingredients Records and Samurai Music as label's he's released on, but it's Critical Recordings he has the strongest bond with.

'Mob Justice'/'Show You' was the first Critical hook-up in 2011 and the last was the 'Make Meals' EP in 2014. On that we got a taste of crippling basslines ('Make Meals'), but also the sweet stuff ('Endless Fade'). There was also 'When You're Alone' which gets remixed by one of Mixmag's stars of 2016, LSB, on his new 'Skit City' EP, a release also featuring Fox and Halogenix.

The original's got a haunting, tripped vibe rolling through it and LSB's version enhances the otherworldly atmospherics with feisty cyber funk groans. More aggression comes in the form of percussive slaps, so don't go into to this thinking it'll be an easy ride.

Foreign Concept's 'Skit City' EP is out via Critical Music on April 7. Pre-order it here
