Premiere: Krystal Klear gives Talking Heads his Editions treatment

The second EP on his new vinyl label will drop this month

Recently, we spoke about the perils of remixing a classic. It's tricky business to edit something that already holds such a prestigious place in dance music history but Krystal Klear is one of the few who's seemingly nailed it.

His brand new vinyl imprint, KK Editions, opened its account with a series of 'Blue Monday' edits and although the New Order classic should really remain untouched, all three remixes stay true to the original while making them perfect ammunition for the dancefloor.

So what's next you ask? Time for David Byrne and his Talking Heads classic 'Once In A Lifetime' to receive a KK makeover and the result is something all fans of the original will dig.

The original 1980's classic is one of Talking Heads' most adored tracks and the 10-minute edit is a true homage to the timeless cut. Added percussion, elongated vocal segments and more hands-in-the-air moments than ever before, this is a remix that plays on its subtly.

We've managed to secure a full stream of the extended vocal mix despite the fact it's a vinyl-only cut so you're in for a treat.

It's not trying to make the original better, it's merely showcasing what an incredible piece of source material it is, while making it workable for the club. Bravo we say, keep them coming.
