Premiere: Kerri Chandler updates an old classic destined for the club

'Six Pianos' gets the 2017 treatment

As we’ve already stated, Kerri Chandler is a don. The deep house maestro has released some of house music’s most beloved tunes and could easily translate his 20 years in the game into a couple one-off, high-paying throwback sets.

But rather than rely on the past, the New Jersey native has kept his career fresh with a residency at Ibiza’s Circo Loco and founding new label Kaoz Theory.

In keeping with his attitude of embracing the future, Chandler has given a track from his past a much-welcomed 2017 update on his latest release.

‘Six Pianos’ is a tune that Chandler admits has been in his head since first hearing it as a child. Inspired by minimal composer Steve Reich’s track of the same name, it follows the same theme of layering pianos on top of each other but takes it to the club.

Originally released 12 years ago on DJ Deep’s label Deeply Rooted House, 2017’s re-work sees Chandler return to his Kaoz Theory label for the first time since last year’s ‘Turn Off The Lights (Who’s Afraid Of The Dark?)’, and will be the label boss’ first vinyl release on the imprint.

The release will be accompanied by remixes from Loco Dice and Stephane Ghenacia and is available on vinyl now.
