Premiere: Hear Siege's sharp, sultry take on a Disciples original

An underground twist on the summer smash, out soon on FFRR

A dance floor that hasn't been exposed to the rhythmic bounce of the Disciples' summer smash 'Daylight' are far and few in between.

While summer has dipped behind the horizon, Belgium newcomer Siege is keeping things plenty hot with his own take on the Disciples staple with his own rework of 'Daylight' out on the Pete Tong-headed FFRR Records on November 4.

The vocal leads of 'Daylight' drench the tune in a sultry smoothness that remains in Siege's take, but not without a darker, more tech-tipped bass line. Rolling techno interrupts the bright, clear drop of the track's original; an appropriate switchover, bringing the summer hit into a winter-tinged tune for late, late nights on a warehouse floor.

Though Siege may still carry a newbie label, his production chops bare no evidence of novice.
