Premiere: Decka brings hard, hissing techno with ‘Xempa’
The Bristolian is back, battering and better than ever.
Decka is a name we’ve been championing for a while.
Building his profile up from his native Bristol to Berlin, home of the SPE:C label with which he's struck a close partnership, the youthful pairing of both imprint and artist has allowed for experimental productions diving into the deeper realms of techno.
At only 23, he’s gained strong support from press and peers alike, including a nod from former music teacher and Livity Sound member Asusu. His new EP 'Behemoth' marks another fine release, featuring the dark, dub-inspired ‘Xempa’ on the A-side.
Pacey and pulsating, ‘Xempa’ is eight-minutes of hypnotic grooves. A tightly-wound fusion of both Bristolian and Berlin infected bass stylings that asserts Decka's distinctly stark, cold dance vibe is back, battering and better than ever.
This month the producer will play his biggest gig to date at Berlin’s Griessmuehle for the Reef party alongside Objekt, Courtesy and SPE:C label head Darwin, confirming his rising status on the scene. Check out ‘Xempa’ below.
