Premiere: Cuartero stuns his Nosy Neighbors with some devilish percussion
Desolat fire up for 2017
Loco Dice's Desolat imprint has always been a go-to for underground house, techno and everything in between. It's a hard-hitting label that's hosted an enormous amount of talent over the years, with artists like Martin Buttrich, Butch, Guti and TiNI carving their sound there. To put it simply, Desolat bangs, hard.
To give 2017 the kickstart it deserves, Desolat have once again called upon the services of a certain Cuartero, a DJ and producer whose profile has skyrocketed following releases on Hot Creations, Moon Harbour and Viva. The Spaniard's sound carefully navigates slamming house and techno with each release tailormade for its respective label.
For the 'Nosy Neighbors' EP, he's crafted a bit of everything, left no stone unturned and sculpted four wall-shaking anthems ready to turn a dancefloor into a giddy mess.
We've been really rating the chord-laden, techno-leaning stylings of 'Multiverso' but here we present the title track, a cut that's got the legs to make it all the way to the terraces in Ibiza this summer.
The percussion is quintessential Cuartero and it clatters along with a focused groove before big, thick basslines come bounding in. The build-ups are prolonged to the point of agony but then just picture yourself in Amnesia, 5am and the sun's coming through the windows, when that drop hits and the cannons fire, you'll be in fucking heaven.
Trust us.
'Nosy Neighbors' will be released on January 13 via Desolat
