Premiere: Cleveland paints a twinkling landscape for Abstraxion

Whether it's the bi-monthly nights he puts on in Marseille where he invites guests like John Talabot and Axel Boman to play or the records he puts out via his ten-year-old imprint Biologic Records, Abstraxion is a musical hero.

His label has mainly acted as an output for his own stellar records but he's also released music on HAKT, Different and Other People. If you're after ethereal, intelligent and emotion-laced electronic music then he should be your absolute go-to.

After an amazing second LP, there's a remix album to accompany 'She Thought She Would Last Forever' and the artists involved all reflect his own unique style of music. There are sublime re-imaginings from Ripperton, Conforce and Tuff City Kids but we're really impressed with Cleveland's remix of 'Dystopia'.

Ever since we heard Cleveland's 'Travelguide' EP on WHITE we've kept an eye on the upcoming producer and we premiered the beautiful 'Snake Charm' two years ago. His edit of 'Dystopia' though may be his best yet and it's an eerie, twinkling track that paints a dream-like landscape for the ears. What starts as a delicate and soft cut soon progresses into something with far more weight and fervour.
