Premiere: Black Girl / White Girl ‘Levitate’ to new heights

A fresh cut off the Dutch duo's two tracker via Flashmob Records

Amsterdam duo Black Girl / White Girl line up a two track EP on the influential Flashmob label featuring a tech house bomb titled ‘Levitate’.

Following a string of releases on labels like Madtech, Toolroom and Nervous, Black Girl / White Girl are continuing to prove they have an affinity to deliver quality dance floor focused tracks. With support from Paco Osuna, Emanuel Satie, Adrian Hour and John Digweed, their music is quickly becoming more in demand and the fresh ‘Intergalactic’ EP is a clear example why.

When describing the vision behind ‘Levitate’, Black Girl / White Girl say it’s all about stirring up the dancefloor: ““Levitate’ is all about control. For instance, we like to command the crowd when we’re DJing, so that tune is about raising the energy level and people’s spirit when you’re out on stage. Its purpose is to just annihilate the dance floor.”

As a whole, the ‘Intergalactic’ EP showcases what the duo describe as “a dark, mysterious theme” which they actively wanted to explore: “It signifies that feeling of going from summery, festival vibes into dark, brooding clubbing nights. And also, we’re just spooky girls who really love us some ghoulishness!”

To cap off 2016, Black Girl / White Girl will release their ‘Intergalactic’ EP on December 9, playing Chicago Social Club the same day to celebrate the release. Keep your eye on these two as they also have big plans in store for 2017, including their debut on Hector Couto’s Roush label, along with a few singles and another EP.
