Police let a 3000-strong illegal rave go on until Sunday afternoon

The rave prevails

An illegal rave in Wales was allowed to continue well into Sunday afternoon despite a police presence.

Local reports say police headed to a party at the Rassau Industrial Estate in Ebbw Vale, South Wales at around 11am on Sunday morning, specifically to deal with traffic problems caused by parked cars.

According to the South Wales Argus, they stayed there until approximately 4.45pm on Sunday to "ensure minimal disruption".

22 people were breathalysed by police, with one arrest made on suspicion of driving under the influence of cocaine.

Rassau councillor David Henry Wilkshire was angered by the rave, saying "I will be talking to the police to see what we can do to stop this from happening again."

Gwent Police have started an investigation to find out the organiser of the rave.
