Police have caught a pigeon carrying 200 ecstasy pills

The drug smuggling stories just get sillier.

Joining a list featuring Kinder Eggs and a catapult in Mexico is the homing pigeon, a species of bird widely known for delivering messages from A to B back in the day.

A Reddit thread details how the bird carrying almost 200 ecstasy pills was caught by police. All stored in a mini, bird-friendly backpack, no less.

According to reports, it turns out the flyer was apprehended by Kuwaiti customs as it made its way into the country from Iraq. Al Arabiya says around 178 pills were attached to it.

The lesson we can all learn from this? Don't fly on your own supply.
