Police are doing their best to scupper illegal raves this summer
Is it gonna work, though?
Another summer, another few months of police desperately trying to hinder illegal raves.
Dyfed-Powys Police, which covers the areas of Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire, Pembrokeshire and Powys in Wales, is telling farmers and landowners to keep their eyes peeled for ravers attempting to set up a party spot.
Much like the raves of the acid house days, they've highlighted that an unusual amount of vehicles may indicate that a rave is happening.
Superintendent Robyn Mason said: “There is little doubt that these type of events are very well planned, organised and that local knowledge is important in drawing down the main group to a particular ‘vulnerable’ field, or area of land which has been targeted previously as a suitable venue."
“I can assure local communities that police will take the appropriate action to deter illegal gatherings and deal robustly with any criminal offences discovered or disclosed.”
Dyfed-Powys Police, might be looking to stop them taking place this summer, but the force let one go on for two days in May. It was a decision it later defended.
Gwent Police in Wales also made a guide on how to spot an illegal rave.
