Grégory Darsa is a master at crafting house music of the most grooving variety.
Over the course of his two-decade spanning career he’s clocked up releases on revered imprints such as Deeply Rooted House, Kitsuné Music, Defected and Basenotic Records as both DJ Gregory and Point G, never failing to provide thumping beats that get you moving and shaking with their irresistible swagger.
He started the Point G project back in 1996 with three releases of distinctly '90s raw and analogue sounds, before focusing full time on his work as DJ Gregory. After reviving the project in 2012, he hit a staggering hot streak, unleashing record after record of dancefloor fire, capturing the exultant mood of the ‘90s in the modern day.
His next album ‘Point G Live’ arrives on March 11, featuring the silky ‘Melik’ which showcases Point G at his smoothest. The elegant production retains a rhythmic pulse at its core with unwavering hi-hats, while serene synths swirl outwards enchantingly. Listen below.
