Pioneer unveils new range of studio headphones

The HRM-5 and HRM-6 are out in June

Pioneer DJ has revealed it will release two new pairs of headphones in June.

The HRM-5 and HRM-6 are geared towards studio monitoring, built from components aimed at creating the clear, flat and transparent sound that producers need when making music.

HRM-6 has a lightweight copper-clad aluminium wire and 40mm HD driver unit with a frequency range of 5 to 40,000 Hz. Its max input of 2,000 mW also reduces distortion at high volumes.

HRM-5 has the same wire, but a reduced frequency range of 5 to 30,000 Hz and max input of 1,700 mW.

Both sets have memory foam ear pads for comfortable wear over extended periods, and large rare-earth magnets and reflex air chambers for a rapid bass response with a clean, accurate sound.

The HRM-5 and HRM-6 will cost €109 and €169 respectively. Check out an introductory video featuring DJ Q, LA Riots and Daddy Kev below.
